daycare information
BUSINESS: Alicent Hightower has gathered together a group of Void-Touched who arrange after-school activities for the local kids who aren't old or strong enough to help their parents at home/work. They also provide childcare for children under 3. The unspoken idea behind the business is to influence the children to be pro-Void-Touched.
PARENTS & KIDS: There are a number of Rubeans who gladly accept the offered help under the assumption that it's a gesture of good will that demonstrates a desire to assimilate with the community. Keep in mind that children from around age 3-12 will have a language barrier between themselves and the Void-Touched who engage with them because they don't have cursemarks yet.
LOCATION & PREMISES:
The Targaryen house sits within the town walls and consists of one main house and one old workshop that borders an enclosed courtyard with other neighboring properties. The workshop has since been converted into the use of the daycare. It's a small building with 2 rooms, 1 water closet, and a loft space accessible above the storage room. The main room has been cleared out for day activities and the storage has been converted into a napping room. Children will also be brought out to play in the courtyard and help feed neighbor Anatoly's rabbits. The courtyard has an unruly flower garden, a dirty pond, and a 2-person sauna that was converted out of an old garden shed.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS
cw: brainwashing kids into religious activities idk
Participants: a couple of quiet and respectable kids around the age of 13. carefully seletected kids who can keep their mouths SHUT.
Where & when: if it's a slow day while the younger kids nap, Alicent sometimes brings some of the older kids to "play" at the secret altar she has in her room. the kids can light candles and whisper secrets/confessions.
More information: the altar is dedicated to the faith of the seven that Alicent worships, but she doesn't mention the gods to the kids (at least not yet). to the children it's more like practicing meditation. the altar has symbols of stars and a lot of candles. the chosen children (mostly girls) see Alicent as an authority figure and copy her behavior because she's pretty and the candles are fascinating. Alicent has advised them not to light candles or mention this activity at home. it's their own little secret. :)
